RoomService Painting & Finishing, Inc was founded in 1990 as These Faux Walls, a specialty finishes studio that answered the northeast Ohio design community’s need for artisans truly skilled in applying complex custom faux finishes on a large scale.
Founder and president, David Sloan Newton drew on his experience in theatrical set design and study at Sotheby’s in New York to bring the imaginings of area designers and architects to life on the walls of the finest homes and businesses in the Cleveland area and beyond.
Ever conscious of the latest design and architecture trends, These Faux Walls began offering Venetian and other high-end plaster finishes in 1995.
As business grew, so did the needs of his clientele, and in 2001, he changed the direction of the company, expanding its services to include wallcovering and light remodeling services. This also meant a name change — RoomService Painting & Finishing, Inc.
In response to the shifting housing market, in which more homeowners are opting to renovate rather than move, RoomService enhanced its offering to include complete kitchen cabinet refacing/refinishing capabilities combined with total kitchen and bath remodeling.
RoomService artisans are trained and certified in proper lead paint procedures. We practice proper disposal of all materials in an environmentally conscious manner and are fully insured.
